(1) Membership Fees & (2) Roon the Toon 2026

Kilmarnock Harriers AGM was held on 27th June and it was great to see so many members in attendance.  Thanks to all who came along and for the questions and discussions.

We are pleased to welcome Paul Black to the Club board of trustees.

The AGM supported the proposal to amend our membership fees to the following.  The change to monthly fees will take effect from 1st August.  Broadly our Junior membership fees are unchanged and senior fees are increasing by £1-2 per month.  Family membership is increasing to £40 per month and still considered to represent good value.

For Seniors, Associate and 2nd claim members who pay annually, a payment request will be issued later in July.

Roon The Toon 2026 – new organising committee

Roon the Toon continued its success with over 2,100 finishers on Sunday 8th June.

It’s now in its 9th year and is growing in popularity and entry each year.  From year 1 it’s been Ian Gebbie and Matt Dodds who have been the driving force in the organisation and growth of this race. and many members of the Club have supported in the days leading up to the event and /or participated on the day.

At the AGM we discussed and agreed that to support the the continued success and growth of the event we need to spread this load and leverage the knowledge Ian and Matt have built up over the years.  A Roon the Toon committee will be formed and we are looking for volunteers to join .  The committee will be lead by Ian and Matt and will look to share the event organisation activities.

If you’d like to support RTT as it heads toward its 10th year in 2026 please contact Ian @ john.gebbie@btinternet.com by 31st July.  We’ll be in touch with you to arrange an initial meeting to discuss the event and what its organisation involves in the coming months.
