Valley Dash 2026 Results

Congratulations to all 42 intrepid Harriers who took on the challenge of the Valley Dash. Despite the unpromising weather forecast we were blessed with reasonably favourable conditions for running. This may be one of the factors that helped Thomas Sampson to a well deserved victory, coming home in a race time of 36:05,. This was just over half a minute ahead of nearest rival, Susan McGurn, who imroved on last years result by 2 min 43. Third place went to Rory Morris who took nearly 5 minutes off his 2025 time. Great effort Rory .

Fastest woman on the night was Lynsey O’Connor in a net time of 29:23. Fastest man was Jonathon Downey in 23:31.

Not a bad result for the handicapper this year with half the results within a minute of their predicted time. Closest of all were Jonathon Downey and Jamie Work who were 1 and 3 seconds resectively. Biggest bloomer of the night was with Amy Alexander – maybe he got yours and Marks times mixed up 🙂 .

Thanks to everyone who participated and to the fantastic volunteers who helped with Marshaling and race admin.
